How it works

Enter a date of birth. The calculator starts with today’s date for “Age on” and counts the whole years, then the whole months, then the days since the birth date. It also shows the total months, full weeks and days, and when the next birthday is.

Change “Age on” to see an age on any other date.

Formula and worked example

Years and months = the largest number of whole months from the date of birth that does not go past the date. Days = what is left. Total days = the date minus the date of birth.

For someone born on 15 June 1990 on 20 October 2026:

  1. Years: 36
  2. Months after the years: 4
  3. Days after the months: 5
  4. Total days lived: 13,276
  5. Days until the next birthday: 238
