Privacy policy

Short version

AbacusKit has no accounts, no sign-up, no advertising and no tracking tools. The numbers you type into a calculator are calculated in your browser and are not sent to our servers or stored there. The only cookie we set is the one that remembers a language or country you picked yourself.

What happens when you open a page

The site is delivered by Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, USA). To deliver a page and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We do not keep these logs ourselves and do not combine them with anything else.

• Purpose: show you the page and keep the site secure and available.
• Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a working and secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Transfer outside the EU: Cloudflare may process data in the USA and other countries. Cloudflare takes part in the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and uses standard contractual clauses. Cloudflare describes its handling of data in its own privacy policy.

Your approximate location

For visitors from Germany we use the country and federal state that Cloudflare derives from your IP address, to preselect Germany or your state in the calculators and to offer the German version. This is read while the page is served. We do not store it, set no cookie for it and do not pass it on.

What stays on your device

• Saved calculations, compared scenarios, your “Was this helpful?” answer and your light or dark setting are kept in your browser’s local storage, and only after you press the button for it. We cannot see them. You can delete them any time by clearing the site data in your browser.
• Cookie wc_pref (one year): set only when you choose a language or a country, so the site does not guess again on your next visit.
• Share links put your inputs into the web address. Anyone who has the link can see them, so do not share a link that contains private figures.

These items are needed to provide the function you asked for, so no consent banner is required (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). The legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

If you write to us

If you email us, we use your address and message only to answer you. We keep the exchange as long as needed to deal with your request and any legal retention duty, then delete it. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. We protect our mailbox with reasonable technical measures.

Analytics and advertising

No analytics, tracking or advertising tool is active. Before we switch one on, this page is updated and, where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first, with “Accept” and “Reject” equally easy.

Fonts and external content

Fonts, scripts and images are served from this site. We do not load content from other servers when you open a page. Links to other sites are marked by their address; their own privacy policies apply once you open them.

Your rights

You have the right to information about the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to correction (Art. 16), deletion (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). Where you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to support@rondigi.com. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the one in your country or place of residence.

Children

The site is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We update this policy when the site changes. The date at the top shows the last update.
